  •  Thanks for the greeting, Mark! I'm wondering if you happen to know if there are any metal fans in the group? I listen to a lot of different styles of music, but my current music "flavor" is metal. Thanks! Olivia

  •  I don't believe so in the near future.. some friends are going to see (what I think is a free) POD show in DC if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. I can't say that it's something I would go out of my way for.

  •  I get to most of the shows, esp. the Alexandria ones since I live near there. I'd be happy to host a meet-up there for one that looks particularly good. Nice thing about the Rockville location is you can grab a nice ribs dinner there are the restaurant, yet our stage is fairly separate from the dining area so there's little bleedover of noise.

  •  Oh, and Mark, on that new Lisa Taylor CD, "True North," she's got a great R&Bish tune called "Emperor's New Clothes" that has a cool sitar riff in it!!!

  •  We've got a great show coming up Wednesday in Rockville. Miche Fambro, now based in Maryland, fuses elements of flamenco, jazz, classical, pop and soul into a style all his own. A high energy, unforgettable performer. Hear his samples or see video at www.sonicbids.com/michefambro or www.miche.com. He's co-billing with Randall Williams, very talented singer/songwriter based in Boston. Also the unsung Lisa Taylor is having a CD release party 4/3 at Bangkok Blues in Falls Church, Va.
